 Dear Friends and Prayer Warriors,

What a blessed month August was in the Shrader house!

We had a visit from Granny and Papa (Daniel's parents).

While here, they took Lily to pick blueberries!
Lily started homeschool.  Meredith is using the ABC Jesus Loves Me 3 year old curriculum.  They're both having a great time so far!  Lily is learning letters, numbers, and of course, Bible stories.

We had another baby shower for Hosea.  We like to say a special thanks to everyone who helped out!  We were exceedingly blessed.
Holly Mulhollen is one of Meredith's closest friends, and she did a fantastic job putting together the shower!

Ted and Carol are some of the sweetest folks we know.  She made this blanket especially for Hosea!

We love Mrs. Gina!  She's been a momma to our whole family quite a bit over the past year!
Lily helped Daddy make the cupcakes for her birthday!

Photo op before blowing out the candles!

Home made water park!

What kind of present is this?

We love Bill and Dianne!  They've been a blessing in Lily's life for as long as she can remember!

35 weeks and looking great!  (She'll be 36 weeks Thursday).
Aunt Rebecca and Uncle Josh came to visit Labor Day weekend.  Lily made us all smile!

The Storehouse ministry continues at a steady pace.  One of our clients last week was a 71 year old lady who had been living with her sister.  The lady's son lost his job 4 months ago and moved in with them as well.  A few weeks ago, the sisters had a falling out and the lady and her son ended up living in her car with nothing but the clothes on their back.  They found a little place to rent, but lacked any of the furnishings.  We were able to provide them with the basic things needed to help them get started again.  Thank you for you prayers, and for enabling us to be a blessing to others!

Last week, Charlie, Earlene, and I went to the annual meeting of our partner, Second Harvest.  The meeting highlighted the needs and changes for the upcoming year.  More significantly, Charlie introduced me to a gentleman who operates a ministry similar to Mountain Vision in the two counties just west of us.  He seemed very interested in learning more about our pastor and church leader training ministry.  At some point in the next month, Charlie and I are going to drive over and pay him a visit and talk about potential partnership in the upcoming year.  Please continue to pray that the Lord would open the right doors for the expansion of our pastor and church leader training ministry.

Things you can praying for this week:

1. Pray that Meredith will be able to rest well over the next month as we prepare for Hosea's arrival.  Though she's feeling pretty good, it's getting a little more difficult to sleep at night, and chasing a very active 3 year old is tiring by the end of the day!

2. Pray that the Lord would open the right doors for the expansion of our pastor and church leader training ministry.

3.  Over the weekend, someone stole Charlie's trailer from the Storehouse. We use it for hauling furniture, lawnmowers, and the like.  That's painful $1700 loss.  Please pray that those who stole it would be brought to justice, and that the trailer would be recovered!

PS.  August is also the start of the harvest season in our garden.  Here are a few pics for those of you who've asked.
